An other pieces of Italian technology: Vega rocket

The successful maiden flight of VEGA, the new European launcher, is a greatItaly's success. It was developed by an Italian prime contractor, ELV SpA. VEGA injected 9 satellite into elliptical orbits around Earth and 4 of them were conceived and built in Italian Universities and by members of Team Italia.

LARES, built by CGS SpA and conceived by researchers of the Sapienza University of Rome, will be the hearth of experiments about Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity.

Unicubesat-GG, built from students of the Sapienza University of Rome will allow to investigate gravity gradient effects.

e-st@r, built from students of theTurinPolytechnicUniversity, will demonstrate an active 3-axis attitude determination and control system including an inertial measurement unit.

ALMASat-1, developed by theUniversityofBologna, is based on a Power System built at the Sapienza University of Rome by members of Team Italia
